A painted depiction of the crucified Christ set within an ornate gilded frame, flanked by richly patterned red, orange, and blue striped curtains suggesting a theatrical or shrine-like stage. Above the figure is a small inset portrait, and the whole composition sits within decorative scrollwork borders.
